STRUCTURED ACADEMIC PATHWAY
The Two-year Journey to Mastery
_________
Year One
Foundational Studies
Symbolic Literacy & Self-Mastery
The Foundational Year establishes a comprehensive understanding of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot through the Academy's seven pillars.
Students investigate the relationships between imagery, number, element, archetype, and philosophical tradition, developing the capacity to observe carefully, question assumptions, and construct thoughtful interpretations.
Through guided lessons, reflection, discussion, and practical exercises, students begin to understand how the symbolic language of tarot can illuminate the complexities of human experience.
Structure: Weekly modules released on Sundays, accompanied by recorded Thursday Google Meet seminars.
Year Two
Practitioner Studies
From Understanding to Application
Building upon the foundations established in Year One, the Practitioner Year focuses on the responsible application of the Sovereign Tarot methodology in work with others.
Students deepen their interpretive skills, explore trauma-informed principles and professional ethics, develop their capacity for attentive listening and meaningful dialogue, and undertake supervised or guided practical assignments.
The curriculum also introduces the practical considerations of establishing an independent tarot practice, including professional boundaries, client relationships, and business development.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Foundational Year. Graduates who satisfy assessment requirements may receive an Academy-issued certificate of completion.
A NOTE ON CREDENTIALS
Sovereign Tarot Academy is an independent educational program offering structured studies in tarot symbolism, philosophy, psychology, and ethical practice. The Academy is developing its internal assessment and practitioner certification standards. Any credentials awarded by the Academy will be clearly identified as institution-issued and will not imply governmental accreditation or professional regulatory licensure. Tarot is explored as a symbolic and psychological storyboard, not as a clinical diagnostic instrument.
